Welcome you all to visit our Mahavidyalaya having it’s green and clean campus with huge infrastructure, playground and swimming pool that attracts everyone. This institution has started it’s glorious journey as a State Aided College on and from 1970. At the inception, only two Honours Subjects – Commerce and Sanskrit were taught along with their general courses. At that time this institution initiated it’s teaching and learning in a rice mill at the nearby area of the locality. The college owes its origin to princely donation from Late Sajanikanta Giri, along with several other contributors. The foundation stone was laid down by His Holiness Sri Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramhangsa Deva on 26.01.1968. This institution steps in it’s 50th year of its journey in academic excellence. Now it is running successfully Eighteen Honours courses and newly introduced Six Post Graduate courses.

The institution functions smoothly with highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, needy and motivated students, and efficient supporting and administrative staff in order to carryout time-bound task and synchronize with the highly automation system in the globalization of higher education.

Since its inception, the institution has committed itself to the goal of teaching and learning in higher education, ensuring quality education in the best possible manner in order to spread the benefit of higher education in a very rural area of Paschim Medinipur of West Bengal. This makes it a mark in the history of the Indian education system as the first “LODHA – one of the oldest tribes of the Indian subcontinent” is graduated from this institution.

The library of the college is now functioning as a fully computerized system and provides a globalized plan of knowledge-sharing platform by introducing its resources in an online process. We provide the opportunity to access the vast documentary resources to the students in campus and off-campus mode to some extent. We are moving fast forward to its digitized accessibility up to the departmental level as well as individual level in a short while. Students now can access and avail the millions of relevant books in digital formats available free of cost from global repositories.

The institution provides its extreme possible opportunity to take initiatives and develop some skill based activities to entrepreneurial schemes to its teachers and faculty members in order to facilitate quickly internationalize the benefit of changes in the field of higher education. Well recognised college of rural bengal. 7-8 min from Temathani bus stop, but distance from railway station quite far it took nearly 30-40 min by bus. Over all good college both UG and PG courses are available.

Location is good , situated on the side of the main road and in a calm quite lush green environment.Infrastucture and buildings are good with vast campus, adjoining playground and abog pond.The college started its journey in the year 1970 and at present imparting knowledge and education to the students of Bachelor degree Arts ( pass and Hons), Science (pass) courses and all the courses are affiliated to the Vidyasagar University. College campus is accessible to all sorts of vehicles through the main gate.
